Wellness Offerings

Hosted By Circle of Renewal

Circle of Renewal is thrilled to be collaborating with LGBTQ+Allies Lake County to provide a variety of wellness class and workshop offerings. All of our programming provides a safe space to find true, deep connections within community, and an opportunity to focus on personal growth, self-love, healing.

Adult Programs

 
Peaceful Pride Yoga in the Park

Dates:

Time: 7-8 p.m.

Peaceful Pride Yoga in the Park is designed to bring the LGBTQ+ community together to explore gentle yoga poses, breathing and easy meditation practices. The focus of this class is to help reduce and manage stress in a supportive environment to facilitate a state of balance in the nervous system and calm the mind.

 

Participants leave feeling reconnected to their natural state of peaceful abiding. This class is for all levels of ability.

Classes will take place at Chapin Forest Reservation at 10381 Hobart Rd., in Kirtland, off Euclid Chardon Rd. (RT 6). We will meet at the field at the end of the parking lot opposite Twin Ponds shelter. 

All abilities are welcome at this class. Class is designed for adults and young adults. Please bring your own yoga mat (or towel), water bottle and any props you may need. Bug spray is recommended.

If weather is severe or threatening, class will meet online instead.

Proud & Present
Intro to Mindfulness & Meditation for Adults
Part 1

2- Class Series

Proud & Present: Intro to Meditation & Mindfulness for adults offers an opportunity to learn how to manage stress, become more resilient, sharpen your awareness and truly live in each moment by developing a practice of mindfulness and meditation. This short and sweet two-part series will teach you about the attitudes of mindfulness and introduce you to a variety of meditation styles. 

Most importantly, it will encourage you to explore your own mind, to empower you to build an awareness of where you spend your mental time and energy, and encourage you to develop healthy mental habits that align with your life goals and desires. This two-class series will meet  for an hour and a half each. Class will be held in the park or if weather is threatening or severe class will be moved online.

Heart-Centered Empowerment Workshop Series

The Heart-Centered Empowerment Workshop Series is an opportunity to slow down, find connection, explore areas of self-growth, and come into personal alignment to live a more intentional life—all within a safe and supportive environment.

 

Each workshop explores a theme to empower participants with tools they can use on their own personal healing journeys.


Workshops will take place in nature. If weather is severe or threatening, the workshops will be moved online.

Full Day Retreat: Exploring Self Care & Renewal in Nature

Is the pace of life exhausting you? When you feel overwhelmed by stress it is time to pause and evaluate. This full day retreat is dedicated to creating the time and space you need for renewal and self-care. 


Tap into nature’s ability to heal and inspire as you spend a full day exploring practical, effective tools that will nourish, replenish and bring you back into your natural state of peace and balance. Invite more calm, centeredness and joy into your life as we explore a deeper connection with each other, with our own hearts and with nature. 


Research consistently shows the more time you spend outdoors and connect with nature, the more your happiness increases, to help better regulate stress.
 

Full Day Retreat Includes:

This retreat will be held at the Metroparks Hidden Lake Shelter. This site is located on a secluded eight-acre park.

Youth Programs

 
Art Adventure in the Park for LGBTQ+ Youth: Stress Warrior Workshop

Saturday

Aug. 15

Time:

1-3 p.m.

Stress Warriors: Creating Tools for Stress Management

Using a mindful, yarn-wrapping technique, participants will create a 3-D Warrior to hold and carry worries. We will write out worries and allow our warriors to hold onto them for us.

 

A discussion will follow, for those who choose to share, about how the art process was for them and how it felt to give up worries.
